This Victorian building has been carefully restored incorporating many attractive, reclaimed features. It is carefully insulated and most of the lighting is low energy.

The garden is productive and organic, with as much waste as possible being composted, or recycled.

Fuel and energy consumption is monitored and waste of these resources is avoided

Guests are invited to participate in the Schoolhouse energy and waste policy by making use of recycling boxes and being mindful of their water and energy use.
A copy of the Green policy is found in all bedrooms.

Schoolhouse encourages participation in environmentally friendly activities, by providing a cycle store and drying room. There is also a good selection of information about local walks and attractions.
